Nathan Zachry, February 12, 2009

Jamie holding my 2nd nephew, Nathan Zachry. He was born February 12.
I didn't get to Nathan until he was almost 5 weeks old. He was healthy baby boy. He's so funny though, because he grunts all the time. I don't think he was quiet the two days that I saw him! :)

Drake Edward March 19, 2009

As we waited for the doctors to allow my newest nephew. Cole, the big brother, and my mom watched as Drake Edward was put under a heater to bring his temperature back up after a bath. Drake was born with a 104 degree fever because my sister had a fever when she had him.
Dustin, my brother-in-law, holding his son for the first time. The doctors wouldn't let him hold him because they needed to bring his temperature down. It was a little over three hours before Dustin got to hold him.

My mom holding her newest grandson. She now has three grandsons, Cole Bryant, Nathan Zachry, and Drake Edward. Drake is exactly 5 weeks older than Nathan.

Me holding my newest nephew! He was born March 19 at 5:11pm 8lbs. 9 oz. and 20 inches long! I obviously didn't take this picture but I did take the others.

Portrait of an Artist

Heather Dulin poses with a few of her paintings. She usually shows her art at festivals near the Austin area.

Hardy, for some reason the site wouldn't let me upload the other two pictures. I emailed you copies of them along with captions.

Sylvan Beach

The rubble lines along the shore keeps the land from eroding because of the choppy water created by the huge ships that pass through this part of the Houston Ship Channel.
The pier at Sylvan Beach was destroyed when Hurricane Ike hit the coast of Texas. Now the birds have taken a liking to it!
Where there was once an entrance to the pier with a deposit box to pay to go out onto it, there is now a Do Not Enter sign keeping anyone from going out onto the broken pier.

Lab 3

Cadet White is helped by Master Sargeant McConnel with positioning his rifle during a Wednesday afternoon practice. The cadets were learning how to sight their rifles for an upcoming rifle contest over the weekend.

Cadet Starks assists a fellow cadet who is sighting his rifle. His partner (not pictured) cannot move his rifle so Cadet Starks moves a plastic target to help align the rifle's sight picture.

Cadet Moore watches as Cadet Rapp practices squeezing the trigger on his rifle. The SFA juniors will compete in a rifle competition this weekend at a military base nearby.
